Bossard started her journey in the commercial seafood industry in 1999. That year, she worked as a fisherman on Murat Aritan's halibut 65 feet boat. It was later transformed into a fishing tender. Bossard has married Aritan. They have now united and claim their respective fields. Both are advocates of conserving as well as profiting from sustainable resources within the fishing industry. In 2007, now a mother of two children Bella aged 3 as well as Andre 1 Bossard and then relocating back to live in Philadelphia and opened an online direct market wholesale seafood distributor named Otolith.
